I'll be your Obi-Wan through this. There is a real human behind the lens, and I’m here to offer you the help you need. It doesn’t matter where you’re at in your photography adventure. Whether you’re just starting or have some time behind the lens, let’s take your photo game up a level.
When I started my photography journey in 2014, I had no clue where to start. I didn’t have someone to guide me through everything or answer my questions. I thought college photography courses would be just the guide I needed. But it wasn’t. The classes didn’t offer the hands-on experience I was craving. AND I spent a lot of money that I could’ve invested in REAL photographer workshops and guides.
I’m an open book. I’ll let you know what you’re doing well, and what you can improve on. I’ll share all the little secrets I’ve learned over the years that YouTube videos and Google simply don’t tell you.
Getting to know you as friends; not just a student, a job, or a paycheck. I LOVE getting to see my students as friends, because we all benefit. I even hire students! (Wink wink, nudge nudge.)
Taking a more informal approach with things. I want the time spent with me to feel like we’re just hanging out while I’m answering your questions and guiding you through things.

You bet your camera straps I do! The benefit of having me as a mentor means that if I’m in need of an assistant or second-photographer, I often bring my strongest students. Assistants make $15/hour and second photographers usually make $25-$50/hour depending on experience, gear, and skill level.
I have been a professional photographer since 2014, with an expertise in portraits, couples, weddings, photoshop manipulation, and natural + off-camera light. I’ve lectured at Castleton University as a guest photography instructor for lighting.
I’ve spent the most time with Canon DSLR cameras, although because settings are universal, the primary learning curve with models I’m not as familiar with is simply navigating the menus. Unfotunately at this time I cannot offer instruction on Film cameras, because they are not equipment I work with.
All mentoring sessions include two weeks of check-ins and follow-up help! I know it’s hard to remember every question you want to bring, so this way you don’t have to worry.
Once scheduling and a deposit has been taken care of, we can jump into things! I definitely recommend preparing a list of questions or things you want to tackle.
Heyo! If you're ready to take your photo game to the next level, it's vital that you reach out so we can schedule a time to meet! Deposits are required in full prior to any mentoring meeting.
